Ahh, but which God(s) and/or Godesses(s) and/or Great Old Ones ? š
I see this as an intent to impede the forward growth of Civilized Man.
I would argue that all we have built, created, solved, fixed, cured and intend to is all down plain old hard work by MAN.
No big invisible best friend has done it, just the blood sweat and tears of mortal bipedal humanoids.
Claiming my hard work for your (or anyone else’s) standard explanation for what you can not understand or comprehend is an absolute insult to my intention as an Atheist to see that civilized man far out lives this mud ball we evolved on.
Try to understand that you are it.
After you the only lasting impact you will have on this planet is the progeny you spawn or the work that you do to allow other progeny flourish.
When it’s over you’re final act will be to nourish the ground that will continue to house and feed the future.
